You no longer need to come to Fidelity.com or NetBenefits.com to check your account balances or be alerted on certain account activites, including trade notifications and price trigger alerts.

What is iGoogle?

iGoogle is Google®'s version of a personalized homepage. Google offers the ability to create a personalized iGoogle page that gives you at-a-glance access to key information from Google and across the web. On this self-designed page, you can choose and organize content such as:

• Your latest Gmail® messages
• Headlines from Google News and other top news sources
• Weather forecasts, stock quotes, and movie show-times
• Bookmarks for quick access to your favorite sites from any computer
• Your own section with content you find from across the web

What are Google Gadgets?

Google Gadgets are simple HTML and JavaScript mini-applications. An example of a gadget is a weather gadget, which you can add to your iGoogle page, and personalize with your zip code.

What is the Fidelity Secure Gadget Beta?

Fidelity has designed and developed an iGoogle Gadget beta that allows you to:

• Log in using your SSN or Customer ID and PIN
• View account balances
• Check account alerts

Do I need to have an iGoogle account to use this Gadget?

Strictly speaking, no. If you don’t have an iGoogle account the gadget will function, however, it will only be saved on your iGoogle page on the browser it is used in via a cookie. If you want to use the Gadget on other computers or devices, you’ll need to sign up for an iGoogle account and add the gadget to your personalized page. The only information iGoogle will have is that you have the gadget, they are not able to see any of the information presented to you by Fidelity.

What type of security measures have been taken with the gadget?

At no time is your information saved on Google’s, or any 3rd party servers sites. iGoogle cannot see the data that is presented within the gadget. As an additional precaution, you will not be able to execute trades or transactions on Fidelity.com without logging into Fidelity.com.

Can I trade from this Gadget?

You cannot place trades or make any transactions from the Gadget, it is purely for informational purposes only.

If iGoogle is my homepage and this gadget is on my page, can anyone who uses my computer see my balances and alerts?

Only if you are logged in, and you step away from your computer. The gadget is designed to hide your information after 5 minutes of inactivity. Otherwise, after the you log-out, or time out, your homepage will show the Gadget in its pre-log-in state. The Gadget will log out after approximately one hour of inactivity. The Gadget's default time-out rules cannot be changed.
